No. 1: General and Preventative Dentistry

Regardless of your season of life, all patients must maintain regular visits or checkups to our office. During these visits, Dr. Aguilar will examine your teeth, gums, mouth, and jaws for any changes requiring treatment. One of our hygienists will also professionally clean your teeth and gums. It’s also important to discuss any health and life changes that could affect your oral health with us. This includes sharing any new medications or supplements you may have been prescribed. We can recommend professional preventative services like dental sealants, sports mouthguards, and nightguards. Patients with existing gum disease (inflammation or infection) may benefit from a deeper cleaning or Scaling and Root Planing. Oral appliance therapy may also be appropriate for patients who snore and have certain Obstructive Sleep Apnea types. So, Dr. Aguilar’s expertise also goes beyond ensuring your teeth are free of cavities and your gums are healthy.

No. 2: Restorative Dentistry

Depending on what Dr. Aguilar finds during your exam, he may recommend restorations to either rebuild a portion of the tooth or to extract and then fully rebuild/replace the tooth. Due to Dr. Aguilar’s considerable investments in state-of-the-art equipment and related training, he can handle every step in the process of dental implants, including bone grafting to prepare the jaw for implants and the actual surgical insertion of these “artificial tooth roots.” We can stop the decay process for patients with less extensive needs and restore the affected teeth with tooth-colored fillings, ceramic inlays and onlays, and full porcelain crowns. We can even make these restorations in just one visit because of our lab capabilities. Due to our use of CEREC software and equipment, we can fabricate these and other restorations on-site – without using a dental lab.

No. 3: Cosmetic dentistry

With time, our teeth can begin to “show their age.” If you are concerned about yellow or very stained teeth, professional teeth whitening may be available in the future. Our whitening treatments use clinically proven ingredients, and treatment is tailored further to ensure your safety and comfort during the process. We may recommend either dental bonding or veneers to cover up certain types of stains and other imperfections – from gaps to chips. We can also make veneers on-site with CEREC and even provide a “no-prep” option that does not involve removing tooth enamel to accommodate the veneer. This option, Lumineers®, keeps your teeth intact and is so painless that no numbing anesthetic is required for comfort.
